How to Get a Georgia Medical Cannabis Card Online
Georgia established its limited cannabis program in 2015. Effective July 1, 2026, the state renamed the Low THC Oil Patient Registry as the Medical Cannabis Patient Registry and expanded the medical cannabis products available to registered patients.
To obtain a Georgia Medical Cannabis card, you must consult a fully licensed physician whose principal practice location is in Georgia. If the physician confirms that you have a qualifying condition, the physician will enter your information and identification documents into the Medical Cannabis Patient Registry. The Georgia Department of Public Health will review the submission and email you instructions for paying the state card fee. Once your payment is processed, your card will be issued and shipped to you.
